Dear Artisan user group;
I have received an error I have not seen before using a Mac with the latest solfware : Sierra with a 64 bit system.
We have installed the CP210 driver with our data logger using Omron controls.
Here is a screen shot:
Modbus Error: Read float() hex() argument can't be converted to hex@line 30521
Could it be we have the wrong driver installed?
We use to use the FT232 driver but data driver was upgraded to a new model that has worked with the CP210 driver on most models (this data logger is setup for future use with Bluetooth capabilities)
I have been using Artisan with Kaldi-wide roaster via Phidget for more than
a year and was quite happy with the auto marking of Charge, TP, and Drop
events. Now I switch to Aillio Bullet V2 and for some reason the detection
algorithm in 2.4.2 does not work well with the IBTS data in Bullet. The
Charge detection is not reliable and TP was marked wrong. There are some
even more catastrophic auto-drop detection that terminate the logging in
the middle of the roast.
So now I disable all the auto-detection functions, and also not using any
alarm to automate anything. Things have been stable now. I'll try to work
it out one-by-one later. For now, the only gripe is that the TP still
automatically marked is wrong. For example, TP was marked right after
Charge in the following chart (Note: BT is from the Infrared sensor, IBTS,
and the ET is actually from a traditional thermocouple bean probe in
Bullet) . I can manually edit the Charge, Dry End, 1C, etc under the
Roast>Properties>Event tab, but I cannot edit the TP time. I would
appreciate it if anyone can find a solution for my situation.
BTW, this Ethiopia batch is amazing in the cup. :)
